Hello dear friend and happy Holy Week!

Easter is my absolute favorite holiday season, and this year I am extra excited because my church family is celebrating not once, not twice, but three times this weekend! We have a Passover/Last Supper dinner on Good Friday, an Easter breakfast and service on Sunday, and the Andrew Peterson Ressurection Letters concert livestream on Monday. We will practically be living at the church for a few days and I couldn't be more thrilled about it!

If you've never watched the Resurrection Letters concert, I would highly recommend it. The songs are incredible, of course (they are my favorite Easter "carols"), but the prayers and even the lighting of the experience are exquisite as well. Last year, there was a giant projection of five flickering candles in the background of the first half of the concert (which is about Jesus' Passion). After each song, a candle went out until the room was wreathed in utter darkness. It was silent and still and heartbreaking for a moment that felt like a small eternity. Then out of the darkness came the drum line for His Heart Beats, and suddenly the room was filled with brilliant LIGHT! The second half of the concert is about our Risen Lord, the Savior of God's people and King of all Creation. It is absolutely wonderful, and if you can find the time to watch it, definitely do!

I hope you and yours have some edifying plans this weekend and that the sufficiency of Christ takes center stage both on Easter Sunday and every day. In our weakness and our frailty, only He is enough. By the blood of His cross, He made peace between wretched sinners and a Holy God. To God be the glory forever and ever, amen.

He is risen! He is risen indeed.

🍄✨️EBOOK UPDATE!!!✨️🍄

I’ve updated Chosen of the Tapestry! Those of you love the story, PLEASE DON’T PANIC!! The changes were minor and none of them affected the story itself.

What changed was adding italics for ease of reading, fixing a handful of small grammar issues, and removing about three typos. I also updated the LKOTP description in the “Also by Laura Cheever” section in the back.

Obviously I would have liked to publish a perfect book on my first go, but that was never going to happen because:

  1. I am the furthest thing from perfect.
  2. This is my first book, and I learned most of what I know about writing and publishing through trial and error.
  3. Jesus knew I needed to breathe through my imperfection for a while and learn to face it while leaning on HIS enoughness.

Sooo… what does all this mean?

Basically, just that if you own the ebook or are currently borrowing COTT on KU, you can delete the book from your device and redownload it to get the updated version. The best part about the new edits are the italics, which really just help us know when the POV character is thinking something in present tense or remembering something that someone else said, as opposed to the line just being one of several abstract thoughts.

ANYWHO… Just wanted to let you guys know! Always trying to grow in excellence while learning to rest in grace.

XOXO 💚💚💚 Happy Reading!

“A simple life,” Fran replied finally. “I want a husband who loves me and a happy home. Children.” She paused, cocking her head. “And maybe some chickens.”

The Looms stood slack jawed, like the floor had just crumbled out from under their very feet. But Weft Mach’larah’s eyes sparkled.

“Of that,” he said kindly, “you can be certain.”

CHOSEN OF THE TAPESTRY

I am utterly THRILLED to share this darling cover for an even more darling story!

My dear friend, Tee Williams, is a talented author who writes sweet Christian romance with beautiful themes of faith and new beginnings. Her short story, Finally Christmas, made me grin ear to ear and brought tears to my eyes!

So naturally, I was absolutely honored when she asked me to create this cover for her upcoming book, and I simply cannot wait to read the story that goes with it!

To get updates on this book and Tee's other projects, follow her author profile on Amazon below.

The Stories of Whimsy & Warriors cover is HERE!

I am so excited to be a part of Cristiana Moyer's street team for her very first book release — Voices of the Future: Stories of Whimsy & Warriors.

The book is an anthology (short story collection) featuring tales from twelve young writers as their debut into the world of literature, and every purchase of the anthology goes toward a fundraiser to send them to writer's conferences and support their dreams.

I love the cover for this anthology. The coppery tones and little details are hints of each of the stories, and it captures the whimsical warrior vibes perfectly.

Today is not only cover reveal day, but it’s also the day that preorders open! You can preorder through Amazon or at the link below!

If you have any questions, comments, prayer requests, bad puns, or good book recs, I would love to hear them! Reply to this email and I'll get back to you ASAP.
