Hi, I’m Laura, and I write Christian fantasy romance about married couples finding healing in Christ and restoration in their relationships. Falling in love is easy, but staying together takes repentance, grace, and a whole lot of hard work! That’s why these faith-filled fantasy stories are woven with marriage, magic, and second chances — swoony, spice-free tales of love where the romance doesn’t end with “I do.” Set in rich, imaginative worlds, each story reflects the hope we have in Jesus to mend what’s broken and redeem what feels lost. When you subscribe, you’ll receive an ebook copy of The Smith & The Spoons: A Fralsningdor Chronicles Short Story, weekly episodes from my ongoing fantasy romance serial A Hoard of Tales, and tons of fun extras like behind-the-scenes updates, devotionals, memes, and book recommendations. If you’re longing for stories that blend solid theology, real-world marriage struggles, and fantastical settings, you’re in the right place. Welcome! (Please check your spam folder. Hello dear friend!

To those of you in the US, I hope you had a lovely Independence Day weekend. Our family certainly did, and we have the sunburns/bug bites to prove it!

We went to a parade, then to the lake for fishing and reading on the dock, then to the mineral hot springs (shout out to Wyoming and our volcanic activity), then we watched fireworks, attended a carnival, and had a potluck with our church. Phew! All of that was a lot for three days, but it was SO incredibly fun!

My husband took our youngest son on lots of tamer rides at the carnival, while my older two boys dragged me onto a bunch of crazy roller coasters! Which is your preference? Chill rides or thrill rides?

  • My bestie/editor is doing her final read-through of Lost King of the Pattern this week and discovering the very last typos! She has done SO much work on this book and is an absolute gem; I am beyond blessed to have her. Truly, if my stories seem coherent and well-ordered when you read them, you can thank Chelsea. 💚

✨⚔️What Early Readers are Saying About Lost King of the Pattern⚔️✨

  • "Expect your heart to be ripped out and tension left in your throat."
  • "This book is a page turner! I couldn't put it down. I finished it in two days."
  • "I love seeing Fran and Fi’eren on their journey as they continue to grow individually and together as a couple. ("Already Married Romance is probably my new favorite trope!)"
  • "This story conveys much more of the Christian message of faith and redemption compared to the previous one. It's no longer a backdrop to which the characters act, it has become an active participant in this entire tale that can't be ignored."
  • "Some things I love about this book - a praying wife, a not evil step mother, loving flawed people, ordinary people being used for the extraordinary, an enemies to friends bromance, colorful thread like magic, an old sweet old man that talks to his food, and husband that tells his wife that she bows to NO man!"
  • "I deeply enjoyed the first book in the series, and now I can say that I loved the second even more! The intensity is building towards a truly epic finale, and I cannot wait to enjoy the complete trilogy!"
  • "It is so beautifully touching and really pulls you in with each chapter. By the end I felt like I was there and I wanted to continue on the journey with them fighting for their cause!!"
  • "This book is a beautiful balance of swoony moments between a husband and a wife along with action packed scenes!"
  • "This is still the cozy love story from before, but now the action and adventure have picked up a notch or two."
  • "This story is for Christians, homeschooling moms, and people who like high fantasy, cozy romance, and adventure all rolled into one."
  • "The new characters introduced in this book are some of my favorite characters of the Christian Fantasy genre. If I was to sum up this book in one word I would say "brilliant" or "genius"."
  • "Be warned - YOU WILL BE HOOKED BY THE PROLOGUE!"

Exciting news for my international readers: I'm now offering signed bookplates in the shop!!

If you're an international reader (or if you simply purchased on Amazon and wish you'd gotten a signed copy), you can now turn your regular paperback or hardcover into a signed edition!

Simply place the sticker on the title page beneath the title (it will cover up the imprint logo — no worries, friend, as the imprint logo is included on the bookplate itself) and voilá! You have a signed copy of your favorite already-married goblin romance.

"It takes long years of careful effort to train oneself in the art of skillfully wielding the Weaver’s magic, but once trained, that magic is beautiful and helps goblin society to thrive. Wild magic, on the other hand, is a dangerous and volatile thing, which means that only someone indescribably foolish would allow it to run rampant, unchecked, and untamed. Unfortunately for Fran, her magic was never given a focus because her magic never came out."

CHOSEN OF THE TAPESTRY

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“This may be the most influential book you will read this year.” ―Lee Strobel, bestselling author of The Case for Miracles

A movement seeks to redefine Christianity. Some think that it is a much-needed progressive reformation. Others believe that it is an attack on historic Christianity.

Alisa Childers never thought she would question her Christian faith. She was raised in a Christian home, where she had seen her mom and dad feed the hungry, clothe the homeless, and love the outcast. She had witnessed God at work and then had dedicated her own life to leading worship, as part of the popular Christian band ZOEgirl. All that was deeply challenged when she met a progressive pastor, who called himself a hopeful agnostic.

Another Gospel? describes the intellectual journey Alisa took over several years as she wrestled with a series of questions that struck at the core of the Christian faith. After everything she had ever believed about God, Jesus, and the Bible had been picked apart, she found herself at the brink of despair . . . until God rescued her, helping her to rebuild her faith, one solid brick at a time. In this book, you’ll find:

  • A list of resources—including apologetics books, theology books, and podcasts—for additional study
  • Discussion questions to help you dig deeper or spark conversations
  • A sound biblical worldview mixed with personal stories from Alisa Childers, popular speaker and author of The Deconstruction of Christianity and Live Your Truth and Other Lies

In a culture of endless questions, you need solid answers. If you or someone you love has encountered the ideas of progressive Christianity and aren’t sure how to respond, Alisa’s journey will show you how to determine―and rest in―what’s unmistakably true.
